Cantina Massara

The center of the company till the present day is located in Cantina Massara, nestled in a green valley opposite the hill of Monvigliero and the Verduno summit where the commue stands.  In the heart of the commue's wine cellar, situated in underground rooms of a house from the nineteenth century - it is silence, darkness and quiet that accompany wines to evolve and mature in many ways, from wooden barrels and steel tanks to aging in bottle.

 


 

Barolo DOCG

With annual production between 35,000 to 40,000 bottles, this intense garnet red Barolo is complex with fruity scent and hints of spices on the nose.  A full-body, tannic, intense, structured, austere but velvety.

Recommended for grilled veal-fillet, roasted red meat and matured cheeses.  

 

 

Langhe Nebbiolo DOC

A ruby red Nebbiolo with a annual yield of about 10,000 bottles, its has the scent of raspberry and wild strawberries.  A full-body dry and velvety wine from Piemonte.

Pair well with red meat, game and cheese.

 

 

Verduno Pelaverga DOC

With just about 7,000 bottles annual yield, this ruby red Pelaverga present an intense perfume scent with fruits and spice sensation.  It is dry, fresh, intense, velvety and balanced.

Recommended for second dish and cheese, excellent with deserts.

 

 

Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Barrique

Base on Barbera grapes, the color is intense ruby red towards garnet.  The nose is intense but delicate.  It is a balanced full-body dry and bitter wine.

Pair with first or second course and matured cheese.

 

 

 

 Barbera d'Alba DOC

When young this is a ruby red and towards garnet when aged.  Its has a pleasant hints of rose, blackberry and peach.  On the palate, it is a full-body dry, bitter and balanced with acidity and slightly tannic.

Pair with first and second course, also with strong matured cheese.

 

 

Dolcetto d'Alba DOC

A violet towards ruby red, its has pleasant fragrant of cherry and raspberry nose.  On the palate, it is dry, pleasant bitter with moderate acidity, good body and balanced.

Recommended for first and second course.

 

 

Langhe Favorita DOC

A Favorita garpes base white, its has straw yellow color lined with green reflection, intense with scent of fragrant, dry, sharpe texture, fruity and slightly bitter aftertaste.

Pair well with appetizers based on vegetables, fish
